the updates start ??Perhaps

BUSY BUSY time ..no rest for the wicked they say ...

Have all the pics updated but still working on narrative.

Here is a start ..hopefully I will get some time to catch up before I get home

It is 1:30 am in Cardiff Wales and I am down in the lobby of the hotel uploading pictures. The internet in the room is not working and it took about an hour for the hotel to admit that ...NO I am not a crazy person, nor am I stupid, there is actually a problem with the room connection. They offered to move me to another room, but I figured that it is late enough that I am not in the mood to move rooms and we are checking out in a few hours, so why bother with all that, besides the internet in the lobby is wireless and free, unlike the wired internet in the room that costs actual money.

But I guess you might be wondering how did you end up typing up your recap at 1:30 in the morning on Friday, when you stated the trip way back on Sunday??? We have been busy, and have found something to do late into the night each night. Tonight Chandra and I returned to the hotel at 11:30.. vacation good but a bit exhausting.

Sunday started well. I printed out the boarding passes and sent Amy on her way at 2pm. The Taxi arrived for Chandra and I at 3 PM. We got in line to check out bags and it was at that time we discovered that ….the plane was delayed.. UGH.. 2 hours. It was 4 pm and we now had 4 hours and 45 mins till we took off.. We headed to get a snack (with the 9 dollar voucher that BA gave us), then finally headed to the gate. With really NOTHING to do, I made Chandra watch “Dr Horrible’s Sing-a-long blog” She really enjoyed it, a nice use of 45 minutes, only 4 hours left to keep ourselves distracted. After a tea break, she settled into playing games on my phone, and I worked at getting my SIMS to actually get to work and read a little. Finally, it was time to board the plane and head to London

We sat across from each other, so we both had an isle seat. They brought around dinner. Chandra got her Veggie meal, but …I did not. As it happened, my seat was one of the last served. I asked where my meal was, and it had apparently been given to someone else (I suspected the girl behind me, and in the morning with Breakfast that was pretty much confirmed) So, I ended up with an entrĂ©e from first or business class, it was Ravioli with Pesto, filled with veggies. Of course then the lights went out and I tried to sleep, the success was limited. The guy in front kept rocking his seat into me, so sleep was elusive. We finally landed but not until close to 2 pm. There was basically no way to get to the hotel and then to the TV studio in time to see Paul O'Grady, so we decided to just move on, have a shower and head out into Central London.

We took at taxi to the hotel, and it was very much an efficiency. The doors to the shower and toilet opened to the room and the sink was on the other side of the room. We watched the Paul O'Grady show as we got ready and headed out. By now we were all pretty hungry, so dinner was top of our list.

We just wandered around London and finally had Italian food and then took the tube back. I did use the time to search for a Patrizo DVD for Dennis. The city was busy as usual but at 9pm it was not too bad.

Exhausted and worn out we returned to the room and all crashed.

Here are pics of our little efficient room and London at night.
