Ties Ties Ties

About a month ago I purchased some art work - a set of stencils, from a young artist named Cody Blomberg.
I had never purchased original art like this before and it was pretty modern looking so of course I was a bit nervous.

But I loved the subject of the stencils, and I loved the texture of the pieces.  Cody had give me a slip of paper that had the instructions that the stencils represent - How to tie a Windsor knot.

Figure 9-46. Tying a Windsor knot. Start with the wide end on the right side about 12 inches longer than the narrow end.  Make a loop then bring the wide end around and behind as shown. Pass the wide end over to the back, then bring it across the front, then under again. Finish by slipping the side end through the loop in front. Tighten the knot and shape carefully.

I went to Seattle Custom Framing to ask about the best way to frame the instructions to go with the rest of the piece.  They had an awesome idea, (as usual) so one 1942 Report font and Colorpak later and viola. I have the art on my wall.
